We only collect the personal information you choose to send us through this website, we use it only to reply to you and help with your real estate questions, and we never sell it. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing [email protected].

Who we are

This website is run by the Ezra Malo Group, a real estate team led by Ezra Malo, REALTOR® with RE/MAX First, #115, 8820 Blackfoot Trail SE, Calgary, Alberta T2J 3J1. Ezra Malo is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. We follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA).

What we collect

Only what you type into a form on this website:

• Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
• About your home or search: for example your address for a home evaluation, the communities you're interested in, your timing, and your message.
• Newsletter sign-up: your email address, first name, community and interests, and a record that you ticked the box to receive The EMG Monthly.

We also record the date, time and page of each form, so we know which question you were asking about.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't use analytics tools that follow you around the web. When you open a home's listing page, your browser tells the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), which runs REALTOR.ca, that the listing was viewed, as CREA's rules for listing websites require. It sends the listing number and a random ID kept only in your browser, never your name or contact details. Like every website, our hosting provider sees your IP address when you visit and may use it, briefly, to keep the site secure and block spam.

How we use it

• To reply to your message, prepare the home evaluation or search you asked for, and follow up about it.
• To send The EMG Monthly, only if you ticked the box to receive it. Every issue has a way to unsubscribe, and you can also reply "unsubscribe" or email us.
• To introduce you to a lender, lawyer, inspector or other professional, only when you ask us to.

We will not add you to any mailing list you didn't sign up for, and we never sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Who else handles it

A few trusted service providers handle your information on our behalf, only to run this website and our email:

• Cloudflare hosts this website and stores the messages sent through its forms.
• Google Workspace provides our email, so form messages and our replies pass through Google.

These providers may store information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under the laws of those countries. If you become our client, your information is also handled under RE/MAX First's brokerage records and the rules of the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA).

How long we keep it

We keep website messages for as long as we need them to help you, and delete them when you ask us to, unless the law or real estate regulations require us to keep a record. If you unsubscribe from The EMG Monthly, we stop sending it right away.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email [email protected] or call 587-896-5766, and we'll respond within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Children

This website is meant for adults buying, selling or owning a home. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
