Living in Cranston
Carma began developing Cranston on former farmland in 1999. The community is bounded by Stoney Trail to the north, Fish Creek Provincial Park and the Bow River to the west and south, and Deerfoot Trail to the east, next to Seton and Auburn Bay. About 400 acres of green space sit on the escarpment overlooking the river, and the newer Riverstone section has homes along the river and around two naturalized ponds.
Residents share Century Hall, a 22,000-square-foot community centre with a gym and meeting rooms, plus a private 2.8-hectare (7-acre) park with a splash park, outdoor hockey rink and courts. The South Health Campus hospital in Seton is just across Deerfoot Trail.
